Now We Know Why Tony Abbott Doesn’t Want The National Broadband Network

OBSERVATION:

Tony Abbott’s $6 billion broadband solution, delivering an average of 12 bits per second, compared to the Government’s $46 billion strategy delivering a minimum of 100 hundred bits per second, is for me, difficult to understand.

Why would we want to settle for lesser technology given the impact of that technology on productivity and lifestyle?

Why would the Coalition, be promoting the strategy or policy, which delivers significantly inferior broadband outcomes.

SmartCompany have put together a very interesting and detailed analysis of the online elections, in particular a comparison of the popularity of the parties YouTube channels. It shows that the Labor Party have 5 times more viewers.

So is this why Tony Abbott isn’t making a bigger appeal for the broadband solution? Because his constituency don’t use the internet?
